Friends who read together, lead together
The vision of this program is that through an increased love for learning, connection, and delivery of affirming resources, youth will be inspired to lead prosperous and healthy communities.
By creating fun, friendly, and supportive spaces for reading and play, children can form strong and healthy bonds with each other & learning!

Literacy in Transit! partners with organizations, schools, agencies, and groups to provide programming for youth. Activities include:

LIT! Hangouts - with learning activities, story time, and book donations

Book Donation Stations - where children and families can take free books home

Reading Corners - story time for children, to promote a love for reading

Period Parties - health literacy regarding menstruation

Social & Emotional Literacy Workshops - for pre-teens and adolescents
